Tony-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels, the play was conceived for the stage by directors Roger Rees and Alex Timbers and written by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love.
The cast of Peter and the Starcatcher includes Andrew Glisson as Black Stache, Lauren Kunkel as Molly Aster, Bailey Williams as the Molly Aster Understudy, Leo Carmody as Boy/Peter, Joel Smiedendorf as Grempkin/Hawking Clam, Susan Graham as Mrs. Bumbrake, Bill Klein as Teacher/Alf, Paul Stortz as Bill Slank/Fighting Prawn, Aidan Diefenbach as Greggors/Smee, Jason Cope as Prentiss, Dave Wood as Lord Leonard Aster, Guy Miller as Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Sam Johnson as Ted, Nate Salvati as “Spoon” Sanchez and Bailey Williams as Mack.
Assisting Mow are Assistant Director Dan Maxon, Student Director Ariel Higgins, Tech Director/Stage Manager Matt "Dolphy" Clark, Set Designer Andy Sawyer, Costumer Theresa Polasek, Choreographer Liz Coulston, Fight Choreographer/Stage Combat Instructor Jay Donley, Props Master Lauren Mow and Dialect/Practicum Instructor Alex Kerr.
