| Just in time for Halloween, the Woman in Black is a gripping ghost story. It’s the 1930s. Two men meet on a darkened stage in a small London theater. One is an actor; the other, a retired solicitor. Over the course of an afternoon the two men attempt to work through the story of what happened when, as a young man, the solicitor was sent to England’s bleak East Coast to settle an estate and encountered the mysterious Woman In Black. Billed as “the most terrifying live theatre experience in the world,” the play has been running continuously since it opened in London in 1989. |
